Wasted Life
Posted on: Wed , Mar 10 01:37 PM

The bad weather and cold didn’t stop a determined group of punks from making their way to the Full Moon in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Thursday night to see Wasted Life. After all, punk gigs are few in the area and Wasted Life more or less guarantee a good night.

Wasted Life

The support on the night was Senseless, who put down a good set allowing the crowd to enjoy themselves whilst saving their energy for the main act. It was clear to see however that the night was all about Wasted Life.

The cold was soon forgotten as Wasted Life took to the stage and heated up the room. Though there wasn’t a large turn-out, they still played as if they had a crowd of hundreds watching them.

The small stage gave energetic singer JJ little room to move, but that only charged his vocals with even more energy than usual making every song loud and proud. JJ roared every lyric as if it were a piece of information vital for everyone to hear that night.

Wasted Life

The rest of the band, guitarists Rat and Lindop, bassist Stark and drummer Mach, played with enthusiasm and power from the first song to the last, making sure there wasn’t a dull moment as they tore into each of the songs.

They played a blisteringly good set with songs such as Gangland and Oi You!, which the crowd of boisterous punks happily joined in with. Wasted Life certainly did not hold back and gave even more than the loud, energetic in your face performance that was expected.
